5G/6G Embedded Software Developer – Student (M/F)

This is a student job in the field of communication technologies for the fifth and sixth-generation (5G/6G) radio access networks. The aim of the collaboration is to engage students in the company long-term, offering them the opportunity to develop their skills in this area.

The student engagement begins with a series of lectures and the completion of simple practical tasks under the mentorship of experienced engineers. Students then join development teams where they participate in ongoing Ericsson projects related to the development of 5G/6G embedded radio base systems. The intensity of their work in the team depends on their availability and academic obligations.

The technology of embedded radio systems includes the following:

• Fields: real-time embedded systems, Linux and system-on-chip in embedded systems, embedded software development, digital signal processing, antenna arrays, RF electronics, computer and mobile networks, secure coding, software product build systems, automation, and integration of hardware/software co-verification.
• Programming languages: C/C++, Java, Matlab
• Hardware description languages: VHDL, Verilog, SystemVerilog
• Hardware platforms: ARM, Zynq, Intel, ASIC
